I am dreaming of the summer, I embraced the winter in New York, the first time I think I have ever embraced the winter but I've had enough of it, so let's go from one extreme to the other and take a look at one of my summer favourites, Crop Tops and Shorts. Now, I wear cut off shorts all year round, layered up with tights or leggings and oversize tees during the winter but there is nothing more liberating than wearing shorts with no tights on a hot summers day after many months of hibernating your legs! At the moment in England dressing this way in crop tops and shorts seems insane and a life time away, alas my love affair with winter is over.....I miss you summer, come back!!

Dads Denim
This is not really an homage to Fathers Day but I would like to thank my Dad for these old jeans that have served as my favourite pair of denim cut offs over the past couple of years!
This also links in quite nicely with a Fashion Salvage event that I attended at the end of last week. The idea of the event was to create outfits from old discarded clothing and make them into something new. Much more on this amazing and inspiring event in the next blog post but I am definitely waving my Fashion Salvage upcycling flag in todays post.
As I said, this particular pair of denim cut offs we're customised from an old pair of my Dads jeans. They have been slowly falling apart for the past couple of years but this fits in nicely with the current over-ripped jeans trend. Wear yours with tights underneath for the colder days and layer up with oversize shirts and tucked in t-shirts No Debutante style. The tights or leggings look under the denim cut offs is also a good trick for people who like the over ripped denim look but don't want to reveal too much flesh! Go raid your Dad's and boyfriends wardrobes now for old denim pieces of better still go down to your local textiles / clothing recycling centre and bag yourself a pair and customised by you!!
Before I go, let's not ignore my lovely hologram Mary Jane shoes from Topshop. I love these shoes and they are so comfy and look great dressed up and down. The price was very reasonable too which was a bonus!
Well done Topshop!

Kimono Love
No Debutante Loves Kimonos!
With Festival season on the horizon what better way to dress for the occasion than with a boho kimono? This was going to be a single kimono post but I have been wearing them so much, this Kimono obsession could turn out to be a regular feature! The kimono in today's post is from Urban Outfitters, it's black, embroidered, silky and has tassels, it has everything! I love it! Layer your kimono up over vest tops and dresses or over jackets, wear with shorts or jeans, experiment with it, it's such a versatile garment. The kimono is the item to make a statement in this summer, however you wear it. Rock it like a groupie!
Here's a couple of ways I have been wearing it lately, expect more from this kimono very soon!

No Debutante Loves....Oversized T-shirts!
No Debutante Loves Oversized T-shirts! This is not a new story, just check out the blog and the Instagram gallery to see how big my love is! Nearly every t-shirt I have bought over the past 10 years has remained in my wardrobe as a staple item, I believe a t-shirt will just keep going until it literally falls off your back. Don't get me wrong I love a nice, new'n' boxy cotton t-shirt too but a decent t-shirt can last years and I am a devotee who will wear her t-shirt to the end! The T-shirt is so versatile, it's not just a seperate to wear with denim, it's a great all rounder that can also be worn to dress down an outfit, worn under dresses, with pretty organza skirts and with tailored shirts and trousers. Ooooh! I love a t-shirt fashion mash up!
Today I am wearing my Oversized t-shirts including the Vision Streetwear X Topshop one and the yellow 'Gang of Four' one. The tees are worn big and untucked with denim cut offs and layered up with a maxi skirt. Want more? Check out my Instagallery for more Tee inspiration and No Debutante fun!

Rock Lobster
Here's the first glimpse of my latest mermaid hair colour with it's blue and green sections that have since merged together to create a full on mermaid inspired colour explosion!
What better to wear with my mermaid locks than a blue crop top, denim cut offs and a tasselled Kimono worn with rockabilly ankle socks and creepers.
I had chosen to wear my hair down on this occasion to show off the full colour effect. Thanks to the marvellous Vikki Mac for her creative skills as my hair stylist, you rock!
I am loving my Urban Outfitters kimono and want to wear it every day, it will be ruined by next summer at this rate since delicate silky garments, kids and a busy lifestyle don't really mix! Never save things for best I say, or you'll never wear them! How can you have a favourite dress that you never wear?? Don't wait for an occasion to wear it, make everyday the occasion to wear it!

No Debutante - The Clash
Three weeks on am I am still living in an upside down house where half of my kitchen is still in the living room/ lounge making things impossible to keep tidy and even more impossible to find!! So is the chaos that surrounds me!! This would be one of the reasons why I have been behind with my blog posting and even more behind in catching up with all the bloggers I follow! I have also taken a back seat with the daily fashion photos due to the fact that there are builders in my house and I don't really want them to see me taking my personal style photographs! I'm sure my personal style confuses them enough on a daily bases without my flauting it in their faces with constant selfies!
Today's personal style pics show that I am not afraid to clash and mix up prints and colours, if you are a regular reader of my blog then you will already know this. I wore both of these outfits to work and I love it that I can now wear my jackets again since the weather has got cooler. I have had the H&M leopard print fur since Lucian was a baby (he is now 9 years old) and it is a classic part of my wardrobe that just keeps on giving! On this occasion I have paired it with a rockin' skull tee, denim cut offs and my favourite Dr Martens (I have other pairs but these are just so worn in and comfy that I can't stop wearing them!).
I had caught sight of myself in a shop window on my stomp to work and realised how outrageous I looked with my pink hair, pink sunglasses and my pink headphones clashing up a treat with my leopard print coat. I had to laugh to myself and took a quick photo on my phone so I could show you guys the extreme of my possibly, out of control, accessorising! Love it!
The following day I was inspired by the 1990s and Bjork and popped my hair up into a style that was a bit of a regular for me during the 1990s when I was a teenager. This time I like those Bjork Buns even more in my pink hair! I went for a bit more print clashing with camouflage and Breton stripes worn with denim cut offs again, ankle socks and creepers. The look was both a mix of cute and tomboy style. Business as usual!
Thanks for following and reading and I shall be back soon with some more fashion fun, perhaps looking at another of my current obsessions or my favourites from the autumn winter 2013/14 shows. Hmm? You'll have to wait and see, until then, have a good time, all the time xx

No Debutante - Oh Mickey, You're so fine
Oh Mickey, you're so fine, you're so fine, you blow my mind....Hey Mickey!
Here's a short and sweet post of one of my personal style outfits, it didn't really go with any other outfits I wore around the same time and was pretty casual for me in denim cut offs, tube socks, Converse and my Mickey Mouse sweatshirt. The look is inspired by 1980s sports styling and 1970s skaters.
I have a feeling that I am going to struggle to do much blogging over the next few days due to being busy packing up my kitchen to get it's retro caravan kitchen diner makeover which is starting next week! I'm half excited and half terrified as we do not really know how long we won't have a kitchen for! I am also attending the G-Star event on Friday so let me remind any Bristolians to get over to the Bristol G-Star store in the Cabot Circus between 5.30-8pm to receive goodie bags, free nails and hair make overs and view the latest ladies wear ranges!! I'll see you there!
Thanks for following!
