Blue Jeans

With my holiday to Ibiza finally on the horizon I am finding it hard to think of anything but packing my (and a motley crew of kids) holiday wardrobe(s). It's hard enough to know what I want to take but packing for three small people too just adds to the chaos. I have to start packing mentally weeks before we go otherwise we end up with far too many clothes and an overload of random things packed last minute. I also have to start grabbing their best clothes and hiding them away as the kids will just keep wearing them again and nothing is bloody clean when I go to pack it . My seven year old son Mika is the worst culprit for this, he changes his clothes more times in the day than a Mod.  (who were rumoured to change their outfit up to three times a day, it sounds fabulous, I know, but really??) So, Mika just likes wearing costumes and dressing up, I love the way he styles himself, it's always mixed prints and bright colours, the boy could already work as a fashion stylist! Despite Mika's love for changing his outfit I have to put a stop to it sometimes or he'll have nothing clean accept those clothes that have been bought by relatives that you don't really like but haven't quite got round to giving to a charity shop. Any parent here will know exactly the clothes I am talking about, I don't want them in my house let alone on my child, on holiday!

Let's forget my holiday packing dilemmas for now and have a look at another personal style post, you know I like denim? Well, here a few ways I wore it in June. Which is your favourite look? Dungarees, Mom Jeans or denim shorts?? I Love Denim!

All clothing from Topshop, Primark, American Apparel, Kuccia and Converse.

I love my Kuccia bomber jacket!!!

Denim Daze

I wear a lot of denim in every guise, here are few recent personal style pics of some of my denim favourites.......Of course my dungarees are in this post! Dungarees are super cool in the summer worn with a vest top and sandals or layered up with jackets and tees. I have had this denim waistcoat for years and I love wearing it layered over dresses. I do own other dresses, this one just seems to be a favourite at the moment! In fact, I wore a lovely new dress today which will make it's debut on Instagram and my facebook page over the next few days! Please could I take this moment to direct you over to my No Debutante Facebook page and to follow me on Instagram for daily fashion updates! Please follow me if you like what you see!

All clothing from Topshop, Primark, Maui & H&M

Thanks for checking in, back very soon fashionistas!

No Debutante - Double Dutch

I seem to wear a lot of double denim, I don't do it consciously, I just own a lot of denim! I have a denim obsession. I love denim! Here are two prime examples of my double denim obsessions worn quite differently. Look out for my special guest who also loves a bit of double denim!

The first outfit features my new favourite tartan and denim mix cut offs from Primark, my old Topshop denim shirt layered over a black vest and accessorised with a headscarf, Dr Martens and a matching baby. Sylvie Belle's tartan and denim mix dress is from Next and is supercute!

The second outfit is more workwear inspired and features my Topshop dungarees and denim/leopard print Primark shirt worn with a long wavy fringe, a head scarf, frilly ankle socks and my Underground creepers. I do love this outfit but the camera was not loving me on this day so there is only one usable photograph to show you on this occasion. I am happy with my choice in outfit though so that's the main thing!

I hope you liked today's outfits and watch this space for the next post which will feature something very new and permanent about me. I am very excited about sharing it with you, if you can't wait until then check out my Instagram to find out spoilers!! Click on the Instagram link on my blog home page and follow if you like or just have a nose about, I really don't mind! Have a good day and thanks for reading xx

No Debutante - Last days of Summer

I had to get to the end of August with these personal style posts and I am finally there, even though it's nearly October....ahem!

For the last weekend of the holidays we took a last minute trip to Dawlish in the UK for a few nights of camping, well let's say Glamping, we even had an electric hook up this time, but staying true to the old camping style of cooking off of a small gas stove and listening to the radio, we only ended up using the electric hook up to plug in our phones and use a small lamp, everything else was pure living in a tent with no mod-cons heaven. The weather was amazing, hot and sunny, which makes camping go so much easier, although I have to admit I do get a bit excited if it starts to rain, I love being in the tent when it's raining outside.......for about an hour......... and then I want the sun to come back.

You can only imagine how much stuff we took camping and the amount of clothes I had packed for myself and the kids, I mean, you have to pack for all weather conditions, don't you? Let's say we probably only wore half of it (at the most) I blame the sunny weather.......

The day we left for camping I had been to work and didn't want the hassle of changing so I thought a pair of dungarees would do the trick and good ol' Converse Allstars. I was dressed up Land Girl style and was ready to put me a tent up and spend a few nights in the great outdoors! I hadn't planned on putting a tent up in the dark but alas this is what happened! As some of you may know when I briefly mentioned it a few weeks ago this camping holiday didn't run smoothly (does it ever?) but I am not going to go into all that again, so let's look at the photographs through rose tinted glasses and enjoy what I wore on my perfect, end of the holidays, camping holiday.

The second day, was sunny and hot and all I needed was my floral Topshop playsuit and some flip flops and popped my hair in a topknot and I was ready for more camping fun! This involved, swimming in a freezing cold out outdoor pool and generally living my day to day, kid filled life of chaos but in a tent.' I am still having fun' she says, the fixed smile beginning to fade!

Day three and it's still sunny, it's time for another Topshop favourite the peephole skater dress and flip flops, I love little Sylvie trying to be like Mummy in the last photograph, she loves to copy and is so cute! On this day we played in an adventure playground in the woods, visited a graveyard, we love a graveyard, I know, it's a bit dark for this glorious British camping holiday, we didn't go looking for it, we just found it! Great weather for summer desses and flip flops though.....hang on, the dunagrees were from Topshop too, Topshop wanna start sponsoring me for all my hard work in wearing all their lovely clothes that I can't stop buying!

I miss you already summer, don't leave!

I realise I have loads of images on Instagram of what my kids have been up to this summer, I had lots of images from the camping trip alone so I will follow this post with an Instagram catch up before we go back to more of my current fashion obsessions!

Thanks for following! I nearly have 90 Google + followers which I am very excited about! I really appreciate it and work hard on my blog so it is great that people are interested in what I wear and have to say xx

No Debutante - Where have you been?

Hey hey fashionistas, it's been a while but I'm back in the blogging room! Where have I been?

I have been so busy attending weddings, getting free facials at Harvey Nics, hen nights, working, packing (a big thing for a family of five) and holidaying in Ibiza!!  I had always planned to blog from Ibiza but I was having such a great time with my family and wanted to spend all my time with them in the hot sunshine rather than hidden away in the hotel lobby (no wifi in the rooms!) blogging and posting on Instagram mainly about myself! I felt a little guilty for not blogging but I was having too much fun swimming with fish, sitting on the beach and going to the waterpark (to name a few activities) to care about social networking. I didnt even go on Facebook or Pinterest and, to be honest, it was a welcome break!

I now have so much content to show you that I am definitely back as a regular blogger but the break was a long time coming!

Here are two personal style looks from back in July, taken on my last week at work before all the chaos and fun commenced! I was having a rockabilly couple of days by the looks of things expect lots of denim, headscarves, victory rolls and crop tops.

The first outfit, Topshop crop tops, Vivien of Holloway jeans and Converse, I wore to work on a hot sunny day in Bristol. Later that day, I was also invited along to a complimentary Dr Hauschka facial at Harvey Nichols in Bristol which was amazing and much needed in all the madness, watch this space for the full review. This was then followed with a family meet up at a local pub where I found out some very exciting news which I am not sure I am able to announce just yet! We drank and I managed to get no packing done for the weddings and holidays which were quickly approaching.

The second outfit - Topshop vest and dungarees -was actually worn on my fourth wedding anniversary to my gorgeous husband Phil, we were celebrating the following day at our friends wedding, watch this space for more on that too!!
Don't worry, we did manage to find
some time for some champagne amongst packing and the usual last minute madness!

I have so much to tell you and so little time, it's all very exciting!! It's great to be back!

Thanks so much for following and reading my blog and hello to all my new Bloglovin and Google+ followers!

No Debutante - Dungarees like Dexys

I haven't managed to blog for three days due to a lovely long Easter Weekend and going back to a very busy day at work, I hate it when I can't blog!

Last night I managed to get over to Vikki Mac's at Me Time in Bristol for my usual colour experimentation and a moan about how my hair still isn't long! We did achieve a great bit of colour experimentation though so watch this space for the new hair colours over the next week!
Vikki Mac was sporting a lovely pair of dungarees that I like to think I had encouraged her to buy and this links nicely into my next post where, coincidentally, I am wearing my lovely Topshop dungarees!
There are many ways to wear dungarees and on this occasion I have mixed mine up with my lovely new Primark denim shirt with the leopard print sleeves, my leopard print cardigan and my leopard print wedge boots, so that's two of my favourite things denim and leopard print- and not forgetting my current obsession dungarees! Let's call the look workwear glam, if we need to give it a title, which, of course, we do! I went for cute bunches in the hair, just to confuse things!

Yeah Dungarees, Yeah!

No Debutante - I love Dungarees!

I have been busy this week with painting vintage wardrobes and planning my club night Bang's 10th Birthday Bash - one extreme of my life to the other. I can't say I am ever bored or have nothing to do! I like to give myself a project or ten and still manage to have no time for any of them. This evening I am planning another collaboration with the photographer Mark Sewell, which is very exciting. Watch this space for evidence of all the above!!

I have a new obsession, well it's been an obsession for a while but I couldn't get my hands on what I wanted for ages and then, like buses, two pairs of dungarees come along at once!! Yes, dungarees are the new obsession or overalls as they say in America.
So, I have been looking for the correct pair for, at least, a year and then I find a pair beckoning me in Topshop, the fit and shape of these Topshop dungarees are perfect, my only beef with them is the stupid worn effects on the knees that managed to rip on first wear. I hadn't even noticed this when I first got them - this is the price you pay when you go clothes shopping with a baby! I thought Topshop would know by now that the whole customising jeans thing is so ten years ago, I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that I would prefer my jeans to be worn away naturally. I won't go on.
Obviously, I am still wearing the Toppers dungarees but I am slightly bitter about the whole subject!

The second pair of dungarees were bought for me by my lovely husband Phil as a Christmas present from my new favourite vintage shop Freddies of  Pinewood. It was a surprise to receive the retro 1950s style dungarees, a very welcome surprise!! The fit and shape of the 1950s dungarees is fantastic, the legs are very long and wide, leaving plenty of room for the obligatory, turned up hems, I love them!!!
This is how I wear dungarees.

My new Tatty Devine necklace a present from my sons Lucian and Mika for Christmas!

As you can see, I have been wearing my new dungarees alot lately. Which ones do you prefer? And how do you wear yours?
