Little fashionistas at Hooligans Magazine

The award for the No Debutante fashion shoot of the week goes to......a children's wear fashion shoot for Hooligans Magazine?? Oh my gosh! This photoshoot is the bomb! Brilliantly styled by Yeon You, an 80s inspired concept by creative photographer Michelle Marshall who has created this super styled up fashion delight!

Where to begin? The colour, the oversized, mish-mash styling, bright colours, kawaii cuteness, crimped hair, socks and sandals? Oh stop it! Just look at these kids, they are cooler than all of us!

I love the way the girls are styled up in adults clothing in a clown like oversized style rather than in a inappropriate kids dressed as adults way. It's a fine line but it has completely been achieved in this photoshoot! I am barely interested in where the clothes came from as it's all about the styling here!

I am feeling inspired to recreate these looks No Debutante style, actually it does look a bit like they are wearing my wardrobe! Sadly, my 6 year old daughter Sylvie has different ideas about her style than me, so I don't think I shall be recreating a similar photoshoot with her anytime soon (mores the pity!).

Hooligan mag also welcome contributor's so any budding photographers and stylists out there should give it a go should get in touch. The June theme is We're All Animals. What? A No Debutante photoshoot? Don't encourage me!

Random shoes and red tights

Yellow faux fur and polka-dots? Yesssss!

Animal paw gloves, a gingham smock and sports socks!

Clown style cuteness

Crimped hair and a rainbow jumper and a ballerina skirt - amaze!

An oversized jumper worn as a dress

Loving the oversized red mesh adult garms layered over white.

All photography by Michelle Marshall for her Double Trouble fashion shoot for kids fashion and art magazine Hooligans. (images were originally sourced from Junior Style blog).

The new Adidas Originals collection that's not for grown ups...

No Debutante is actually jealous of the latest Mini Rodini X Adidas Originals collection as it's just for kids! Yeah, it features bold and bright colours on a contrasting white background with snakes and cactus prints, the styling is proper retro and the colours are amaze.

This playful mini collection is the fourth collaboration from the sustainable Swedish children's wear designers Mini Rodini and sportswear giants Adidas and features a tracksuit, jumpsuit, swimsuit, tees and even a pair of cactus print Gazelles, never have you wanted to be under six years old again as much as you do when you see this collection. Even the kids look cooler than you! Boom! Make it in adult sizes pleeeeeease????!

Rockin' Baby

I was recently introduced to  a new fashion brand which began life as a baby sling company on the West Coast of America. Rockin' Baby started an ethical movement, with every sling sold, a sling was donated to charity, supplying baby slings to non-profitable organisations around the world, donating slings to parents and children in need.
Following the success of the baby slings, Rockin' Baby introduced a fashionable and colourful childrens wear collection for the babies and children of fashion savvy parents which also followed the ethics of the baby sling movement donating an item to charity for every item sold. The ranges are created using fairly and sustainably sourced fabrics and low impact dyes to create high quality products, for a cute and colourful range of kids wear that any fashion minded parent would want to get their hands on!

My daughter Sylvie and I were lucky enough to get our hands on a few pieces from the Spring summer 2016 range which we fell in love with instantly. The bright pink leopard print jumpsuit and matching rain poncho were just amazing, I would honestly wear that jumpsuit myself if they made me one! There was a cute, nautical striped cotton dress, a white embroidery Anglais short skirt with built in shorts (a must have for a lively, climbing 4 years old girl) a chiffon style skirt (girlie girls love anything floaty) gorgeous leopard print jumpsuit (seen below) and the matching poncho and an amazing flamingo print pink t-shirt which goes great with the jumpsuit! Sylvie is very happy!

The new Autumn Winter collection has just launched too so get yourself over to rockinbaby.com and remember You Buy They Give! Think Scandinavian style childrens wear in bright colours, retro prints and comfortable fabrics. There is nothing I dislike more than a baby in jeans! The AW 16 Rockin' Baby collection is adorable, I just love the prints, the girls leggings with the frilly knickers style detail, the boys chevron print separates and the sweetest retro style dresses. I am also a sucker for long John style PJs especially for boys!

Check out the Rockin' Baby range today for all you little fashionistas out there!

A Great British Christmas

Well, I thought it might be a while before I was back for more blogging fun after the Christmas festivities and with only a day to go until New Years Eve I thought I'd give you a quick look at the No Debutante family at Christmas in these rather random photographs. See us making Kawaii felt Christmas decorations, decorating the tree, Ice skating (in the pouring rain - only in the UK!!), Christmas Eve with the Santa sacks, a Kawaii Christmas Potato, father and son skelebones footwear and looking cool in our new Christmas skate t-shirts! I hope the photographs give you an idea of what we got up to and I shall look forward to sharing all my fashion news and more No Debutante fun and frolics in the New Year!

Have A Happy New Year!!!!

Just another Primark Sunday

Hello November! How is it November already?? I barely noticed October and now we are on the run towards Christmas, it's only a matter of time before I get the first glimpse of the Christmas Coca-Cola advert (holidays a-coming, holidays a-coming) which for me is confirmation that it is nearly Christmas. So moving on with my next blog post, here is a quick look at what I managed to find on my last Primark Sunday shopping trip back in September. It was a good haul and I can tell you I have worn the tartan shirt to death already, I love it! I really love all of my purchases from the day which include the for mentioned (love it to death) tartan shirt, the denim cut offs with the tartan detail (cute and comfy and very, very tiny) the mock leather pinafore dress (not an obvious choice for me, but I truly love it, it's cute, it's tough, it's punk!) lots of frilly ankle socks (every rockabilly girls friend) and kawaii print tees for little Sylvie Belle,t which I am loving!

I usually go on my Primark shopping trip with an idea of what I am looking for, on this occasion I was thinking of grunge and punk, inspired by the Autumn Winter trends, especially the Saint Laurent AW13 collection  see my post on this amazing collection here and of course I am always rockin' the vintage rockabilly look, so anything 1950s inspired. I didn't find much vintage rockabilly style on this occasion (except perhaps the ankle socks) but the tartan shirt, mock leather pinafore drees and tartan detail denim cut offs were very grunge and punk inspired so I was very please with these finds! You will see from lots of my up-coming personal style posts that I have been wearing these grunge / punk items a fair bit so watch this space for more personal style posts very soon! Primark I Love you!

I have added a couple of images which follow on from my last post about Sylvie's Girl / Hello Kitty skateboard (not bought from Primark obviously-although it's probably only a matter of time until Primark rule the world!). We have hung the deck in her bedroom as wall art and it looks Rad!

I just had major problems trying to upload my images, I think Blogger are having problems today! Anyone else having difficulties?? I have to go now and make my family a big roast dinner! Thanks for following and I'll be back tomorrow with some more personal style pics and perhaps you will actually get to see how I wear my new Primark goodies! Did you like Sylvie's wall art?

No Debutante - Happy Shopper

I am very excited today as I have just realised I now have 100 Google+ followers! Whoop! I am really, really happy that you are all interested in all my fashion moments, current obsessions, personal style, my somewhat alternative lifestyle and what I have say, I am right chuffed!! Thank you xx

Today we are having a look at some more personal style outfits that I wore back in Sept, It's nearly November (What???) so let's get cracking!
The first outfit was worn on a day about town in Bristol with my family (Phil and the kids) as I recall we visited a few skate shops where Phil purchased some jeans from the Levis Skateboarding Collection, I have to agree they look pretty cool on him, I really must do a fashion post on his skate attire, he will hate the idea, which just encourages me to persuade him to do it! We ended up buying Sylvie a Hello Kitty skatedeck (Girl X Mike Carroll) Phil's excuse was that it will be a piece of art for her wall and she can skate on it when she's older! It looks the cutest, some of you may have seen it on my last Instagram post. For the skate shop tour I wore my Kuccia bomber jacket with a crop top, denim cut offs and leopard print Converse, I couldn't decide on which bomber jacket (both from Topshop) to wear but opted for the Kuccia for a bit more colour, I love both though! Why didn't I buy anything on this shopping trip? Well, I was saving up all my energy for my Primark Sunday shop that I went on the following day and I was very excited about this kids free shop too!!
I have added a couple of images of Mika and Sylvie from the skate shop tour day, the Instagram (second Mika image) of Mika has attracted a lot of interest on Instagram, it's had nearly 100 likes and this rises on a daily bases. Mika's personal style pic has more likes than I have ever had on Instagram and I can't even take the credit because he styled himself on that day! I am really proud of the stylish little boy though. I taught him all he knows!
On Primark Sunday (second outfit) I wore quite a simple outfit, I usually always wear a skirt and tights on a shopping trip so I can try on dresses and skirts easier and to see what they look like with tights (in the UK you spend most of your time covering up your legs due to the colder climate). So I wore my skater skirt, Sonic youth tee, a denim jacket and my leopard Converse again. I like it that the whole outfit is not new, the jacket is one of my hoarded vintage ones, I just like to mix and match (or miss-match in most cases) my whole wardrobe mixing old and new items, sometimes the whole outfit ends up being old stuff which keeps me believing that keeping (certain items) for years is a good thing! I can wear my vintage, my Primark and my designer stuff all at once and that makes me happy!!

So, what did I buy on Primark Sunday?? You'll have to wait and see.....

Watch this space to see what Autumn Winter goodies I bagged from Primark back in September. Two bags?? Exciting!!

Thanks for following and see y'all soon xx
