Ibiza Rocks 2014

Apologies for the lack of blog posts lately but it is the school holidays and I spend most of my time entertaining my kids and juggling work and childcare. This week has also seen the return of my club night Bang which is now only every quarter of the year due to family commitments and general lack of time to be able to run a club night and DJ more regularly. It was a great night though with loads of regulars and some new faces on Bristol's underground club scene. I promise to post a load of Bang photographs very soon so you can see exactly what is going on at Your New Favourite club. Check out images here for a sneak peek. We are also clearing out our loft, now remember Phil and I are shocking hoarders, and there is ten years worth of hoarding going on up there, that needs to be removed! As we speak some of the loft converter guys have just turned up to measure up before they start the work, its all very exciting but extremely time consuming and hectic! You know me nothing for an easy life!

Let's take a look back to when I was having a bit of time off and managed to take the whole family to Ibiza. I am an awkward summer holiday dresser as city street style is clearly my look rather than beach babe and I find myself needing to tone down my style to look less odd on the beach! Honestly, this is the truth, it's crazy isn't it? So, I started toning down my look by colouring my hair bright blue and took it from there.....

I miss you Ibiza, you rock!

All clothing from  Primark, Zara, Topshop, Maui, Vision Street Wear, Santa Cruz, H&M, Converse and Boden.

No Debutante - Summertime Blues

I feel sad to announce that this is the last post on my Ibiza holiday, these photographs were taken on the last two days and as you may have guessed, I really didn't want to go home just yet!! On the last nights stay I wore my beautiful Vivien of Holloway gingham bustier with my denim cut offs and more flip flops, I victory rolled up my hair and put on a head scarf to finish the look. I actually wore this exact outfit on my Ibiza trip last year, it really is a holiday favourite and I seriously need more of those bustier tops, I love them!! Sylvie is in the first set of photos with me wearing her H&M leopard print maxi dress and rockin it!
I wore the second outfit  - crop tops and maxi skirt - the evening we left, we had not wasted the last day and managed to squeeze in one last trip to the water park and pools, we took a last stroll on the beach after dinner then we left.........but then I had to run back down the hill to our hotel, not an easy thing to do in flip flops and a maxi skirt, as we had forgotten Sylvie's pushchair!! Doh!!  Not the Cath Kidston Maclaren!! How could we?? Everything else ran smoothly but it was an evening flight and I had three sleeping kids on me all the way home, someone had to help us off the plane with all our kids and bags! This is why you should take grandparents on holiday!!

So, I finally got a few photographs of Mika up and check out Lucian rocking the 1990s in a baseball vest and cycle shorts worn with his Santa Cruz cap and flip flops, I had to get a photo of him!
Thanks for the memories Ibiza, I'll see you again soon!!

No Debutante - Fun, fun, in the sun, sun sun!

I am back with more fun in the sun outfits and moments from my Ibiza hols which now seems like a distant memory. I have been attempting to fill the kids holidays with lots of activities when we are together since Phil and I are still at work during the school holidays and want the kids feel they are having some kind of holiday, not just spending it at holiday clubs or just lazing about watching TV. This is easier said then done and most things cost money!! We spent the morning in the garden playing with paints in the sunshine, which has since disappeared, so whilst the boys play inside and Sylvie sleeps, I shall get on with a bit of blogging, since housework just doesn't do it for me!!

Here a few more outfits including my unusually all black outfit consisting of a crop top and maxi skirt which was a great holiday evening outfit, really comfortable but stylish, I had washed my hair, since it had half the beach in it, and wore it down for a change. My second outfit is one of my favourites from the holiday, I am loving my Primark Coca-Cola crop tee, the shape and the colour really suit me, worn with my denim cut offs and some flip flops which I pretty much wore all the time, it was too hot for anything too fitted. My hair had been worn in a victory roll during the day then left to dry in the sun, so when I removed the pins I had this natural wave which looked great so I wore the wavy fringe down and pinned the back up, I was pretty happy with the result.

My gorgeous husband Phil makes an appearance today in a rockabilly, retro skater mash up. I love his faded neon Thrasher tee worn with his vintage Vision Street skate shorts (Phil is also a hoarder and they are his shorts from the 1990s) American Apparel tube socks (Tony Alva style) and retro style Nikes.
Little Sylvie who always works her outfits is wearing a H&M Kawaii style tee, gingham bloomers and her cute Next floral flip flops. Check out her model stare! Love it!!

Wow! I got the post finished before the baby woke up!

I think I have one Ibiza post left before we are back to what I wore in my home town of Bristol, UK. I have so many other things to show you, as usual!!

Hello to my new google+ followers and feel free to comment, it's always good to know what you think.

No Debutante - If you steal my sunshine

It appears to be taking me a while to get through these Ibiza photos and outfits. Here are a few more shots of what I wore and what we did including those fish that surrounded our pedalo for bread!

On the third night I wore my dungarees and a crop top rockabilly style, I thought I would be too hot but it was actually a perfect evening outfit and I had two people compliment my look, which was cool. Sylvie wore her cute new Boden dress (from Nan-Nan) with matching bloomers, very cute!! On the fourth night I wore the faithful H&M breton tee (it's been a favourite for years)with my new Primark studded shorts, which I bought ages ago but had never worn, I'm loving them now! I love the photograph of Phil and Sylvie Belle and had to include Lucian and his Santa Cruz hat which he wears everywhere. I promise to include Mika in the next post!!

Look at the fish, we were surrounded!! Ibiza I miss you!

Thanks for following y'all.

No Debutante - If we took a Holiday

Finally we have got to the Ibiza outfits. I will be showing over the next week various outfits and holiday moments from our family trip to one of my favourite holiday destinations Ibiza. Ibiza Rocks! We stayed on the quiter side of the island in a small resort called Portinatx, I already knew the area since I had stayed there for two weeks as a teenager and loved it. I still love it and it was great to be back. We swam with fish in the clearest sea, the boys jumped off pedalo boots with jellyfish swimming nearby, the sun did not stop shining, lovely beaches, waterparks and swimming pools what more do you need?? I think you have realised by now that it was not your traditional 'ave it' trip to Ibiza, there was no clubbing involved for this young family!! I miss it so much already - the holiday not the clubbing!!
Since we had a bit of a heatwave going on in the UK, I was already up for wearing high summer outfits and showing off my skin didn't seem to be a problem for me. This may sound a bit wierd to anyone who comes from a hotter climate but it is a wierd thing for a Brit to go to the airport in their warm clothes and have to ditch everything they know clothes-wise in favour of showing off a lot of skin, which we do not get the chance to do that often. I have to take Vitamin D tablets for god sakes, thats how much I need the sun!!
Without holding back I was straight into my crop tops and cut off shorts mode, I don't think a day went by when I wasn't wearing one or the other. So the Rad crop top was the first to appear with denim cut offs on our first day, followed by my Topshop vest crop top, new silky floral Zara sports shorts and Topshop denim shirt (to hide a little bit of skin) for the evening. Crop top tick. Shorts tick! I loved leaving my hair to dry naturally during the day, it leaves it with a natural looking wave, created by the clips and pins that were left in, I am loving having long hair now!

Just a short fashion fix today.....well, it is wine Thursday!
Look at the beach!!

Thanks for reading.
