No Debutante - Since Yesterday

So, here's to the first personal style post of  the year, although I am inevitably still playing catch up with all my personal style photographs from the latter end of 2013. You will see me hiding from the rain and photographing myself in the bombsite of what was my kitchen getting it's makeover (a blog post on this to come in 2014) on a quick moment whilst there were no workmen in my house to witness me taking the obligatory personal style shots of myself whilst they stand on in total confusion, wondering why I would do this. Despite me sharing my personal style photographs with the whole world, I do not wish to have the whole world watching me take them!

The outfits I have chosen to wear for this particular personal style post are quite girlie with a cute little dress and pinafore but there is a slight punk, grunge even a Lolita Gothic element to today's looks with black being the main colour worn in mock leather with Dr Marten boots and my hair worn centre parted and down. I also have my little personal style assistant, soon to be fashionista Sylvie Belle joining me in one of the photoshoots (the rainy day kitchen bombsite one) who, as regular visitors to the No Debutante blog will know,  joins me in my shoots alot, whether I like it or not. As any parents among you will know kids follow you everywhere and want to do what you are doing. Out of my three children, however, Sylvie is the only one who seems interested. She is the cutest little thing, how could I refuse!

All clothing from Primark, Dr Martens, H&M and New Look.

I forgot to say that I am very excited as we have already booked our summer holiday to Ibiza! Whoop! I am already planning my holiday outfits in my head and can I start packing now please? It's only seven months to go....

Thanks for reading and I shall be back soon with more fashionista fun!

A Great British Christmas

Well, I thought it might be a while before I was back for more blogging fun after the Christmas festivities and with only a day to go until New Years Eve I thought I'd give you a quick look at the No Debutante family at Christmas in these rather random photographs. See us making Kawaii felt Christmas decorations, decorating the tree, Ice skating (in the pouring rain - only in the UK!!), Christmas Eve with the Santa sacks, a Kawaii Christmas Potato, father and son skelebones footwear and looking cool in our new Christmas skate t-shirts! I hope the photographs give you an idea of what we got up to and I shall look forward to sharing all my fashion news and more No Debutante fun and frolics in the New Year!

Have A Happy New Year!!!!

Peskimo Wedding Fun!

My lovely friends and local kawaii lovin' illustrators Jodie and David - aka Peskimo -  just got hitched (well, a month ago) and they kindly invited Me and my clan to join them to celebrate at their wedding Party. The bride and groom looked fabulous as did the wedding decor (I would expect no less from these creative art rockers) It was a great British do with handmade hanging decorations & bunting, homemade cakes, Peskimo vintage inspired transfer tattoos and lots of enthusiastic dancing. My eldest son Lucian loves dancing and rocked out with a very enthusiastic and highly intoxicated Uncle Mike which was half the coolest thing ever and half hilarious (Uncle Mike being the latter). We all had a great time and ended the night with a good ol' British knees up. I think the photos speak for themselves.....Thanks to my good friend Paul Channing - for letting me use the last seven photographs in the post, I think you successfully captured the moment!

Before we get to the photographs from the wedding party itself I, of course, have to show you what I wore and I also managed to get my brothers (Uncle Mike's) girlfriend Naomi to pose for a couple of shots too. These photographs were taken on my Samsung Galaxy phone in the toilets at Beeses Bar (oh the glamour!) unfortunately they are not the best quality so I have shown you the best ones! I thought Naomi looked rockabilly cool, she is half way through her pregnancy and is working it! Naomi is also sporting the cute home made Peskimo tattoos which I think she should consider getting made into real tattoos! OMG, my tattoo day is getting closer!!!!!

My personal style photographs were taken at home in my garden using  a much better camera!
I had managed to try out a more complicated victory rolled up hair style on my freshly coloured pink hair and I am pretty happy with the results! I wore the dark floral skater dress from Zara, originally bought for Phil's sister Dawn's wedding back in June. Dark florals are a big thing for AW 2013 too, which is a spot of luck! As you can see, the weather had cooled down a bit so dark floral dresses, black tights and shoes with a cute cardigan topped off with victory rolls and a flower in your hair, was the way to go for us ladies. (We did not plan this, honest!).

I bloody love a wedding!! Why do they always come in fours?? Thanks to everyone who got hitched this year and invited us to join them and a Massive Congratulations!! You all rock!

Thanks for reading and following. More personal  style pics to follow.

My Summer on Instagram

I didn't realised quite how busy my summer was until I saw how many Instagram photographs I had saved up to show you! I perhaps should go back to my month on Instagram posts next time!

Brisfest/Ibiza/Sylvie's Skateboard/Bristol Gromits/Peskimo/Camping/Bristol Museum/ Bec's leaving party/Bristol Zoo/Bike Riding/Rainbow/ Baby Bunches/Seaside/Water parks/ Friends/Sunny/Fun

That pretty much sums up this summer for us!

How many times am I gonna say goodbye to the summer this year? I don't know, there are still rumours of a late heatwave here in the UK. I'd love to believe it!

Thanks for reading!

No Debutante - West End Girls

The summer holidays seem like a distant memory now but I have still have a few more summer personal style posts to go, I am definitely playing catch up! For anyone who wants to see what I am wearing right now you need to follow me on Instagram here   instagram.com/nodebutante

Today's photographs were taken on a late summer visit to my hometown Weston-super-Mare in Somerset, UK. It's a traditional seaside town and when I visit these days I visit as a holiday maker and we eat fish and chips, walk along the prom and my kids love the water park! I always meet one of my oldest friends Rachel (who now lives in London) with her family and we do the holiday thing with all of our five kids and they love it.

I have chosen to wear a land girl style outfit in dungarees and scarf in my victory rolled hair. Rachel, like me, is not scared to dress the way she wants to and there is always lots of colour and prints and on this day she wore a fantastic bodycon dress and large sunglasses. I always love the way this girl dresses!! Along with myself and my friend Selena, Rachel will one day become a granny fashionista, I know I will not be alone in my mad old, colourful printed clashing world! Rachel, will definitely be the one in leopard print!! Rachel has more leopard print than me which I thought was impossible!

Check out the photographs of what we wore and what the kids did!

Happy Days!!

Thanks for following xxxxxxxx
