Hey Babe, Your Hair's Alright....

With my holiday to Ibiza really close and a load of packing to consider, I thought I would catch up with you guys and show you a few more of my my recent hairstyles and updo's whilst I still have the time. I have recently had my hair coloured with even more blues and greens, perfect mermaid colours for the summer, but you shall have to wait until I reveal my beautiful mermaid hair! Here a few examples from June, the weather was getting warmer and plaits and braids seemed the way to go and, of course, a victory roll! I hope you have been practising and experimenting with your updo's ladies?? Remember it doesn't have to be perfect. You guys just need to rock the 1950s quiff, more rockabilly tough than Essex pretty boy please.
Which is your favourite?

All hair styling by No Debutante and colour by Vikki Mac.

Thanks for joining me and I hope to catch up real soon for more fashion fun! Enjoy the sunshine!

Today Is Her Birthday

Today is not my birthday and yesterday it was the No Debutante blogs' birthday, back in June it was my birthday and today's post shows you some lovely goodies that I was lucky enough to purchase using some birthday gift vouchers! These vouchers were burning a hole in my pocket so I had to rush down to Topshop and see what I could find and even luckier for me the sale was on! I managed to bag myself two items the first being my new favourite dress. It's a gingham smock dress. I have been wanting a smock dress ever since I fell in love with The White Pepper summer range over a month ago. I really must show you my favourites from the summer range but for now check it out for yourself here. I think you will agree that my new Topshop smock dress is very similar but as it was in the sale I couldn't resist it!
The second item is a denim skater skirt which has a real 1970s look to it, I am really getting back into the seventies (again) it's been a while but it's definitely gonna be big again very soon! I like to wear my denim skirt with tucked in t-shirts and crop tops. I have been wearing shorts under my short dresses and skirts lately as I am such a tomboy and forget how short they are! In the winter months I always have 100 denier tights to hide behind but in the summer it has to be shorts! When buying these items I had a kindly shop assistant tell me my skirt was tucked up,(a regular occurrence for me, obviously) thankfully I was wearing my trusty shorts.....You see my predicament!

All clothing from Topshop, Vision Streetwear and Converse

I shall be back very soon with my monthly hairstyle and updos post. Check out and follow my Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook page (links to the right of this post)for daily fashion updates from No Debutante!

Three years of No Debutante!

Hey hey fashionistas! Today we are celebrating three years of No Debutante. Back on the 14th July 2011 I decided to start my own fashion blog. I was a few months pregnant with my daughter Sylvie Belle and thought I would share my fashion frustrations and personal dilemmas on how I dressed my ever increasing tummy. This was also the birth of my personal style posts and where it all began!
Here are a random selection of the No Debutante personal style pics taken between July 2011 to July 2014. Expect many changes in style, body size and hair styles, remembering I had a baby in the middle of this fashion mash up!
Happy Birthday No Debutante!

All photographs and styling by No Debutante with a little extra help on a few of the above images from Mark Sewell, Selena at Foxtrot Hair, Dianne McDermott-Harris and Vikki Mac who have been inspirational Photographers and Stylists! You rock!

Also a lovely big thank-you to my amazing husband Phil for not laughing when I told him I was starting a fashion blog and for my buying me a camera tripod to take my own personal style photographs and to my patient kids for taking the photographs before Phil did this!

Dresses In June

On a girlier note after tomboy denim and print clash obsessions, I really do love to wear a dress. At the moment I generally go for a fairly short skater skirted dress and here are three versions in today's personal style post. The first dress being a faux leather pinafore dress mixing punk goth and grunge styling. The other two dresses are more modern vintage and are much more girlie than the first outfit, although the last textured rose print dress is real cute, and the faux leather pinafore is more edgy and punk, my favourite dress is the Hawaiian print dress from Topshop. I love the little peephole which has been placed in the most flattering position for me (on the torso, my flattest tummy part!) and the cut is perfect, I feel really girlie in this dress with its flippy skirt and a nod to a modern vintage rockabilly style. The choice of hairstyle seems to be the plait for today's personal style pics, so many plaited hairstyles, so little time! Which is your favourite look?

All clothng from Primark, Topshop, Miss Selfridge and Tatty Devine.

Thanks for following, I shall be back very soon for with more fashionista fun, hairstyle updates and some new fashion purchases!! Watch this space! Don't forget to follow me on Facebook, Instagram, bloglovin and Pinterest all links to the right on the No Debutante homepage.

Blue Jeans

With my holiday to Ibiza finally on the horizon I am finding it hard to think of anything but packing my (and a motley crew of kids) holiday wardrobe(s). It's hard enough to know what I want to take but packing for three small people too just adds to the chaos. I have to start packing mentally weeks before we go otherwise we end up with far too many clothes and an overload of random things packed last minute. I also have to start grabbing their best clothes and hiding them away as the kids will just keep wearing them again and nothing is bloody clean when I go to pack it . My seven year old son Mika is the worst culprit for this, he changes his clothes more times in the day than a Mod.  (who were rumoured to change their outfit up to three times a day, it sounds fabulous, I know, but really??) So, Mika just likes wearing costumes and dressing up, I love the way he styles himself, it's always mixed prints and bright colours, the boy could already work as a fashion stylist! Despite Mika's love for changing his outfit I have to put a stop to it sometimes or he'll have nothing clean accept those clothes that have been bought by relatives that you don't really like but haven't quite got round to giving to a charity shop. Any parent here will know exactly the clothes I am talking about, I don't want them in my house let alone on my child, on holiday!

Let's forget my holiday packing dilemmas for now and have a look at another personal style post, you know I like denim? Well, here a few ways I wore it in June. Which is your favourite look? Dungarees, Mom Jeans or denim shorts?? I Love Denim!

All clothing from Topshop, Primark, American Apparel, Kuccia and Converse.

I love my Kuccia bomber jacket!!!

Thanks so much for joining me today and if you like what you see and haven't done so already, please follow me on Instagram, my Facebook page and Pinterest, links to all of these are on the right of my blog homepage.

Clash Fash

I love clashing up prints and colours, so much so it seems that when I went to call this personal style post The Clash I had a quick moment of deja-vu and low and behold I had previously used this name twice in fashion clashing posts over the past three years! Yes, The No Debutante blog and persona shall soon be celebrating a third year on Blogger! Whoop!
Let's face it, there will be a lot of personal style posts from me about Clash Fash so to keep things simple, let's always name it Clash Fash. Not to be mixed up with Fash Clash from the Urban Dictionary - When two or more people show up to the same place wearing the same clothes.
This is not something that happens to me too often as my outfit is usually made up of new items, vintage and items from my wardrobe from the past 20 years. I'd be amazed if it did happen at all to be honest! Perhaps with a single new item? No Debutante friends, have any of you Fash Clashed with me?

Let's get back to Clash Fash. I love it, here are today's lovely clashing outfits. Clash Fash to me doesn't just mean wearing clashing prints and colours, it's also about clashing up styles. Although I am a self confessed random item buyer who doesn't buy anything to be worn with anything else, there is still a knack to Clash Fash. You will know instantly if it hasn't worked out! Please feel free to covet any of the looks but please do not Fash Clash with me at any up and coming events....
