Fix Up Look Sharp AW 2015 - Bristol Fashion Rocks!

There is an exciting buzz in Bristol at the moment with lots of Independent fashion labels emerging, collaborating and putting Bristol on the fashion map. The disappointing thing is that the so-called Bristol Fashion week doesn't seem to include any of these inspiring and exciting labels and promoting only fashion from the high street (0r rather from The Mall where it takes place) styled up in safe mainstream fashion friendly catwalk shows which I can only find uninspiring and a bit depressing. The real talent is being completely missed out of this Mall based Bristol Fashion Week, which is why I guess most of these Independent Bristol fashion labels including Fix Up Look Sharp, Kecks Clothing, Neat Frontage and Shop Dutty are inspired to create a bit of a DIY ethos and throw their own fashion shows and events, it is my hope that one day we can all get together and throw our own Bristol Anti Fashion week to celebrate Bristol Fashion the right way! Power to the people....and all that! Bristol Fashion Rocks!

A month ago I attended the Fix Up Look Sharp AW 2015 photoshoot and got a chance to style the new range up No Debutante style! I had the best time and met some great people alongside the lovely Ruth Strugnall, FULS designer and creator, whilst Ruth styled up the models for the AW range product shots for the website,  I got my make-up done by the lovely and talented Sabina and dressed up in my favourite FULS pieces, basically I played dress up and I was loving it! I also had the brilliant photographer Alistair Campbell capture the different looks for me. I think the photographs turned out pretty amazing! I am really happy with them! Thanks Alistair!

THE FULS AW 2015 range itself comprises of oversized sweatshirts, crop tops, maxi dresses and bomber jackets alongside the signature FULS tshirts with every garment as individual as the next, designed and upcycled by hand to create one off pieces from fabrics donated to CLIC Sargent and all proceeds made go towards the charity too! The range has everything I want for this AW
and I seriously need one of those oversized long sweatshirts!!

Mom Jeans Mom Part 1

With London Fashion Week being all over fashion media this week I can only dream of attending whilst sifting through loads of images on Pinterest and Instagram for my favourite looks from the LFW SS 2016 Collections and street style trends. I've been busy enough with attending Bristol born Banksy's Dismaland (twice in a week no less!) and a body baording weekend in Devon to contend with.

Today's post features my Topshop Mom jeans, I've had them well over a year now but I love them, the high waist, loose fit and turned up ankle, perfect for transeasonal weather too.

FASHION DILEMMA ALERT!!!
Despite my love for vintage and wide leg jeans I caught myself trying on a pair of skinnies the other week, I've not worn skinnies for years (after wearing them for years) and pretty much declared war over them, so why did I find myself wearing a high waisted black pair in Topshop the other day? Beats Me! Im such a fickle fashionista it's annoying!

Here's how I wore my Mom Jeans lately, I had worn them so much that it looks like this will have to be a two parter. I love you Mom Jeans xxx

Fix Up Look Sharp Vs No Debutante

Following the Fix Up Look Sharp AW15 Preview event last month I was very excited to borrow a bag of FULS goodies to dress up No Debutante stylee. For those of you who are not aware FULS are an Independent fashion label based in Bristol, all the garments are made from donated fabrics and clothing into one-of-a-kind fashion pieces to raise funding for CLIC Sargent's vital work with children and young people with cancer.

No Debutante loves Fix Up Look Sharps' use of bright prints, colours and unique and voluminous shapes and styles, as I have said before, I love a label that pushes fashion boundaries leaving the more conservative fashions miles behind.  It was an absolute pleasure to style up these Fix Up Look Sharp garments  and I seriously could have carried on styling up the garments for hours, I had such fun with it, print clashing and layering the FULS garments up with my own wardrobe, which seemed to work rather well since these are the exact style of garments that I go for!  In this post the garments are from the SS 2015 range and I will be sharing the No Debutante styled up FULS AW 2015 Preview range very soon. You can preview the AW 2015 range here

There are currently a few collabs under No Debutante's fashionista belt and all will appear on the blog over the next few weeks! Including more from the fun filled Fix Up Look Sharp, Bristols Upcycling queen Helen from Kecks Clothing and the fashion salvage team from Bristol Textiles Recycling. Watch this space!
