Fix Up Look Sharp AW 2015 Preview Event

Following the BTR (Bristol Textiles Recycling) Fashion Salvage event I have buddied up with Ruth Strugnall, Clair Jones and Hayley Robinson the upcycling fashion Queens from the Bristol based label Fix Up Look Sharp. The thing that makes FULS different from other Independent fashion labels is that all the garments are made from donated fabrics and clothing into one-of-a-kind fashion pieces to raise funding for CLIC Sargent's vital work with children and young people with cancer.

The team are so friendly, creative and positive and rely on volunteers to help out with running the brilliant CLIC Sargent Shop on Bristol's Gloucester Road, making garments, donating fabric, writing blog posts and generally sharing the love and spreading the word alongside the designers and marketing teams, if you would like to get involved there is more info at the end of this post.

The other thing that attracts me, No Debutante to Fix Up Look Sharp is the fabulous use of bright prints and colours used to create unique designs in high fashion voluminous shapes and styles. I love any label that pushes the limits and is never conservative about how far to push fashion boundaries. I would wear everything FULS creates in a heartbeat and I think from the following photos from the latest Fix Up AW Range Launch party at the CLIC Sargent Gloucester Road Shop, I pretty much achieved this!

The Autumn Winter 2015 Preview range itself consists of quilted bomber jackets, oversized maxi t-shirt dresses, print panelled sweatshirts and tees in sheer printed meshes, bright jerseys and pinstripes. the range will build as the season progresses and more amazing fabrics are donated. That's another thing I love, the spontaneity of the collections, as FULS rely on the donations to keep creating more items to sell on line and at the Gloucester road Shop you never know what hidden gems will come in and become part of the the latest collection! Of course there has to be some continuity which comes with the design of the shapes and silhouettes for that particular season which will them be adapted with each donation! It's exciting stuff!

No Debutante Loves Fix Up Look Sharp!!!

Let's crack on and have a look at these fun and fabulous fashion moments from the Fix Up Look Sharp AW Preview event from back in August (sorry it's so late I've had the kids summer hols and a holiday in France to contend with, poor old me eh?)
